The process of individuation, using this term as the clinical tool of analytical psychology for a support intervention in the psychological field, aimed at the individual and the community, and through the psychological interview. The path of individuation represents a possibility for the individual not to feel stuck in their personal journey and thus outlines a sort of "journey" towards greater self-awareness. And the process of individuation must be accepted, because the unconscious is a potential, an energy that must be accumulated with the conscious part of the psyche, and if it does not become conscious, if we refuse our inner growth, psychological distress will arise, because the psyche is not whole. That is why inner conflict indicates that something wants to grow, that the person is not well in their current state. If we do not accept growth, it happens against us. The unconscious is built from repressed elements, from complexes, which have an affective charge and emotional intensity. The need to paradoxically unite conscious and unconscious, and thus adapt to new paths, new possibilities for development, channeling the psychic energy previously sequestered, becomes fleetingly clear. We must analyze and determine this psychic energy to refer to the diunamis whose result is the achievement of psychological well-being. This is also the way to overcome problems rather than solve them. Jung writes: "Problems ... can never be solved, but only overcome. Overcoming coincides with an expansion of consciousness, which integrates new goals into itself ...” . The process of individuation as the clinical tool and as the practical activity of analytical psychology is divided into 4 phases: 1. Confession; 2. Clarification (withdrawal of projections); 3. Education to reality and to the polycentric soul; 4. Transformation (loving what you are).
